Curriculum Pupils and Community Committee Terms of Reference

 

In consultation with the Headteacher: 

·         Review and approve school policies relating to the curriculum, pupils and the community as delegated by the Governing Body

·         Identify link governors in specific areas of the curriculum such as those with a focus in the School Development Plan or the core subjects and receive reports on visits to the school by governors

·         Identify a link governor for Special Educational Needs and review reports on SEN activity in the school

·         Identify a link governor for Safeguarding and review reports on safeguarding in the school

·         Consider assessment, recording and tracking of pupil progress and attainment, including gaps between groups of pupils regularly and at least twice a year

·         Approve, monitor and review the impact of use of the Pupil Premium in reducing gaps in progress and attainment

·         Consider and review progress and development of the curriculum in the School Development Plan and any post Ofsted Action Plan

·         Contribute as required to the School Brochure

·         Consider curriculum related priorities for the next year and present to the Finance and Resources Committee

·         Review the development of links with the community

·         Encourage parental involvement with the school

 

These terms of reference were agreed by the Governing Body on 27th September 2022.

Meetings will be no longer than 90 minutes in duration.
